It got very uncomfortable during comedian Michele Wolf’s set at the White House Correspondents Dinner – especially when she ripped into Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Watch Sarah glare at her the entire time:

Yikes!!
You can tell Jon Karl is pretty uncomfortable too. Wolf was making those jokes just mere feet away from Sanders!! Crazy.
Matt Drudge wanted them to walk away from the event:
And others were so offended!!!
I think @PressSec unflinching gaze at Michelle Wolf was the most interesting thing about the event, which is intended to honor the First Amendment but in fact mocked the values of civil society so thoroughly as to stun even the cynical reporters. The honest ones will admit it.

Poor Hugh. He’s getting a lot of miles out of that fainting couch though.
Michelle Wolf was flat out nasty towards @PressSec. 100% ugly, nasty. Not funny at all. And I bet the majority in the room listening felt the exact same way I did.

That @PressSec sat and absorbed intense criticism of her physical appearance, her job performance, and so forth, instead of walking out, on national television, was impressive.

.@PressSec Sarah is all class and the definition of strength compassion confidence and competence. She is a role model for handling nonsense and snark.

And liberals were very happy:
OMG, the camera just caught the President of the WHCA walk over to Sarah Sanders and rub her back, asking if she's okay.#WHCD

Yeah, I don't feel one bit bad for Sarah Sanders. This is a person who works for a white supremacist, defends him, and daily makes a mockery of the First Amendment, let alone our Constitutional process as a whole.
— [email protected] (@cmclymer) April 29, 2018
All things considered, Michelle Wolf went easy on her.#WHCD
Michelle Wolf's WH Correspondents' Dinner roast was AWESOME! Bullseye struck plenty of issues, but I ESPECIALLY loved her roasting the UTTER FUCK out of Trump, Kellyanne Conway & Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Doing what MILLIONS want to do to them with NO MERCY.

๐๐ฅ @michelleisawolf
If you're more upset about Michelle Wolf's jokes about Sarah Huckabee Sanders than the lies that Sanders tells the American people every day, you're part of the problem.
— Matt Murphy (@MattMurph24) April 29, 2018
I can’t get all that worked up when they work for Trump who shamelessly attacked anyone and everyone with every epithet he could muster.
She also had a funny joke against Ted Kennedy:
.@michelleisawolf: "@alfranken was ousted. That one really hurt liberals. But I believe it was the great Ted Kennedy who said, 'Wow, that's crazy, I murdered woman.'" #WHCD pic.twitter.com/BnxhomUzBW

But the news channels won’t put out that video…
