Scott Jennings clashed with CNN host Abby Phillip last night over President Trump’s war on Venezuelan drug boats.
Phillip actually downplayed the drugs coming in from Venezuela and suggested Trump’s war is really about regime change and not drugs.
Jennings didn’t agree:
Phillip takes one factoid and pretends that Trump is only focused on Venezuela and that he’s lying about it. Doesn’t she remember that when Trump came into office, he immediately began threatening tariffs on Mexico and Canada if they didn’t stop the drugs coming into the US??? And that’s been ongoing all year long.
He also closed down the southern border completely, and that’s not just about illegals, it’s about drugs coming in from Mexico.
Trump has absolutely been fighting drugs in Mexico, so it’s a strawman argument to suggest otherwise.
Also, you can’t compare Venezuela, a narcoterrorist state, to Mexico, which is a normal country. Maduro is a drug lord and deserves to be taken out. And if Trump does that in the end, more power to him.
