Jonathan Turley had several powerful moments in this morning’s phony impeachment hearing that I’m calling ‘mic drop’ moments and you can watch them below.
First up, Turley argues that if Democrats try to impeach Trump for withholding witnesses and evidence from the inquiry, forcing Democrats to use the courts to seek remedy, then Turley says they themselves are abusing their power, the very thing they accuse Trump of doing:
Turley then drops another bomb on Democrats, saying that Obama not only withheld evidence from Congress in fast and furious, but also said the courts had NO say in the matter whatsoever. To that point, he argues Democrats would be contradicting Obama’s own stated position if they bring some of these articles of impeachment against Trump:
Turley also hit back at his colleagues at the hearing saying impeachment shouldn’t be based on presumptions, but on proof:
