Today White House Spokesman Sean Spicer suggested that even Hitler wasn’t as bad as Assad because he didn’t use chemical weapons:

What? Anyone who has even remotely studied Hitler knows that he had gas chambers in which he killed many Jewish people. And what they are alleging is that Assad used Sarin gas, so what’s the difference?
Spicer sought to clarify his comment later in the briefing when given the opportunity by a reporter:
"That was not the intent" – @PressSec clarifies his comments on #Hitler and chemical weapons https://t.co/ArCwS2X3Y3

I’m not exactly sure what to make of his clarification. He says that Hitler didn’t drop chemical weapons on his own people like Assad.
While that may be technically true, what a terrible comparison! After all, what Hitler did was so much worse in that he tried to commit genocide against the Jewish people in the most efficient way possible by creating gas chambers that would kill millions.
Even our own SooperMexican couldn’t believe what he was hearing and posting his running commentary during Spicer’s ‘clarification’ which is hilarious:
Yeaaaah noooooo @PressSec, no.

UPDATE: Spicer clarifies once more:

A much better clarification. I mean we all know he misspoke, it’s just funny to watch it play out in real time.
