Ted Cruz held a short press conference a few minutes ago to try and settle what I’m calling a ridiculous level of outrage over his trip to Cancun with this family. He explains what happened and expresses regret some regret even though he was simply trying to be a dad:
Cruz said he was already having second thoughts as he got on the plane to head to Cancun, and those feelings further intensified as he begin to see all the outrage online and in the media. He said his intention was simply to take care of his family. But he decided to cut his weekend short and come home today.
He said he hates that he’s become a distraction like this while so many Texas are suffering in the cold and without power. He also hates that his trip has been understood the way it has been.
I know this probably isn’t the fiery punchback at the leftist media we would have liked to see, but credit Cruz for being honest about it.
The other point I wanted to make is one other’s have been making. This Cruz trip has been all over the media and Twitter today as if it were some huge scandal, while these same hack leftists don’t give a rat’s behind about Cuomo:
Governor Cuomo's policies killed thousands of old people and then he covered it up.
Now he's threatening Dem lawmakers in NY for speaking out against him.

Right when it was revealed that the FBI is investigating Cuomo over the nursing home scandal, suddenly the media starts focusing intensely on the Cruz family's trip to Cancun. If you're a conservative going along with this obvious bullshit distraction technique, you're useless.

In one afternoon, the MSM has given more coverage to @SenTedCruz being in Cancun during the TX blackouts than they gave to Pres. Obama when he was not in the Situation Room during &after the Benghazi attack or when he traveled to Las Vegas for a campaign fundraiser one day later.
