Senator Ted Cruz went after Democrats hard today over what he says is the most radical legislation he’s ever seen in all his nine years in the Senate. He pointed out that it was Democrats who passed and enforced the old bigoted Jim Crow laws in the South and said Democrats are now bringing back Jim Crow again with this new election legislation that would eviscerate state election laws and give that authority to the federal government:
This is the same election bill that passed in the House with zero Republican votes, which we also wrote about in March as Ted Cruz sounded the alarm back then.
Cruz is now sounding the alarm again on this bill, known as S1, and upping the rhetoric to make clear that everyone knows this bill is nothing more than a massive power grab by Democrats to ensure they never lose another election again.
