While in a Senate hearing today, Ted Cruz called out Justice Sonia Sotomayor for unfairly attacking the other justices on the court, accusing them of bias in favor of the Trump administration.

Ted Cruz essentially schools Sotomayor on the reason why the Trump administration has had to continually appeal nationwide injunctions to the Supreme Court.
Cruz points out that under the 8 years of the George W. Bush administration, district courts issued a total of 12 universal injunctions. Under the 8 years of the Obama administration, district courts issued a total of 19 nationwide universal. But in just three years of the Trump administration, he says that number has skyrocketed to 55 universal injunctions against the federal government.
Cruz argues that we have a handful of judges who are effectively working as part of the resistance movement against Trump and says Sotomayor’s complaint over these emergency appeals is like an arsonist complaining about the noise from fire trucks.
