Ted Cruz will be on NBC Nightly News tonight in an interview with host Lester Holt.
In this clip that NBC News just put out, Holt asks Cruz to put on his analyst hat and explain why his race is so tight in Texas.
Cruz responds by pointing out that the “extreme left” are filled with hatred and rage for Trump. He says that hatred and rage is causing tens of millions of dollars to flood the state of Texas from liberals all over the country.
He said it’s also going to result in very high turnout numbers for Democrats in November.
But the good news, Cruz adds, is that there are a lot more conservatives in Texas than liberals. He says if they can just motivate the common sense conservatives to get to the polls then he won’t have any issues winning the election.
I would like to point out a couple other things regarding his election race.
There are two new polls out over the weekend. One is a CBS poll that shows Cruz leading by +6 points over Beta male among 881 likely voters. The other is an Emerson e-poll (?) that shows Cruz leading by +5 points among 500 likely voters. Both polls were taken last week.
Perhaps this race really is closer than I thought it was.
Secondly, Cruz has a couple tweets this morning that you might enjoy with one specifically about his race:
Alas, never had the rhythm to play drums — and Peter Criss sang Beth better than I could ever dream of — but this attack meme is pretty damn funny! https://t.co/qRTGTpiPby

I love Cruz’s sense of humor.
Here’s the other one regarding the angry libs we saw this weekend:
Angry leftists pound and scratch on the doors of #SCOTUS. This hatred and rage is bad for America, and it’s not who we are. pic.twitter.com/NeLmARuCpI

I’ll bring you Cruz’s full interview tonight when it airs.
