How long has Teleprompter Joe been in the government? For nearly 50 years, and yet he still can’t get basic government names right.
Today he referred to the ‘AFT’ several times, when he meant to say ‘ATF’:

Biden is a walking embarrassment. This is why his campaign hid him so much last year and made him read answers off of teleprompters.
He also claimed that stabilizing arm braces for AR-15s make them more lethal:
Biden says that pistol braces "make that pistol a hell of a lot more accurate than a mini rifle. As a result, it's more lethal, effectively turning it into a short-barreled rifle." pic.twitter.com/0mt6kROpv6

It may make it more accurate, but it doesn’t make it more lethal. Someone shooting randomly and hitting someone in a vital organ is just as ‘lethal’ as someone shooting accurately and hitting someone in a vital organ. Biden is just making stuff up to demonize stabilizing braces.
Biden also wants to ban so-called ‘assault weapons’ and ‘high capacity magazines’ He also wants to get rid of the immunity gun manufacturers have from Congress:
President Biden calls for a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
He adds: “And we should also eliminate gun manufacturers from the immunity they receive from the Congress.” pic.twitter.com/Z0L4sOzTWB

That is a bunch of ridiculousness. All of it. Especially the immunity. Why should gun manufacturers be held liable if some idiot takes one of their guns and kills people. Should knife manufacturers be held liable for stabbings? Should car manufacturers be held liable if someone runs over people? Biden is just a radical who wants manufacturers to stop making guns because they are too afraid of lawsuits. That’s what this is all about.
Biden also lies about the so-called gun show loophole:
Joe Biden repeats the gun show loophole myth, "you go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want, no background check." pic.twitter.com/GunKkDMk4q
— The First (@TheFirstonTV) April 8, 2021
That is just not true. Nearly all guns sold at gun shows require a background check. What Biden is targeting here is private sales, where a gun owner may have a few extra guns they want to sell on the side. I don’t know how often this even happens, but by far its the exception, not the rule.
And lastly, Biden also calls on Congress to pass a national red flag law, hoping states will follow suit and create their own, and is ordering the DOJ to craft example legislation to help make this a reality:
Congress should also pass an appropriate national “red flag” law, as well as legislation incentivizing states to pass “red flag” laws of their own.
The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states. Red flag laws allow family members or law enforcement to petition for a court order temporarily barring people in crisis from accessing firearms if they present a danger to themselves or others. The President urges Congress to pass an appropriate national “red flag” law, as well as legislation incentivizing states to pass “red flag” laws of their own. In the interim, the Justice Department’s published model legislation will make it easier for states that want to adopt red flag laws to do so.
That’s right from the White House fact sheet on Biden’s speech.
As we’ve said before, red flag laws are very dangerous and would likely be abused heavily, infringing on the legitimate 2nd amendment rights of a law-abiding American.
Lastly, I’ll leave you with this. Biden today touted the success of the 90s ‘assault weapons ban’, but that’s just another lie. A ProPublica study didn’t find any evidence that this ban saved lives:
Pro Publica Fact Check On the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban:
"there's no evidence it saved lives"
"A definitive study of the 1994 law … found no evidence that it had reduced overall gun crime or made shootings less lethal." https://t.co/37004SnmJM
