Trump announced today in a cabinet meeting that his administration is going to take a ‘strong look’ at overhauling the ‘sham’ libel laws:
After complaining on Saturday that Michael Wolff couldn't have written Fire & Fury if libel laws were stronger, Trump officially announces at his cabinet meeting the administration is "going to take a strong look" at overhauling libel laws. pic.twitter.com/eVTSGAnG3w

Trump, who not too long ago said that if he became president he would "open up our libel laws" so when the media writes "purposely negative and horrible articles we can sue them and win lots of money," repeats "we are going to take a strong look" at the nation's libel laws.

We’ve reported in the past that even staunch Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord, who calls himself a first amendment freak, has concerns with Trump wanting to change the libel laws.
It’s also worth mentioning that this new announcement comes a week after Trump’s personal attorney has threatened the publisher and author of the new anti-Trump book with a lawsuit.

Trump says he wants to revamp the libel laws a day after his lawyer filed a defamation suit against buzzfeed.

One might say Trump has a conflict of interest here.
And if you remember correctly, Trump told his share of lies and falsehoods on the campaign trail just to win. So from that perspective I have little empathy for him in this situation.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t enjoy our president being unfairly attacked by the media, but it’s not like his hands are clean.
