WATCH: Trump DARES the media to keep playing up the intel scandal…

Trump was adamant this morning that everything he said to the Ukrainian President was wholly appropriate and dared the media to keep playing up this story, so that when the facts come out they will look even worse:

Trump wouldn’t get into specifics about what he said in the conversation when asked if he’d mentioned Joe Biden, but described it as a ‘beautiful’ conversation.

Trump added that it was a “great conversation. Totally appropriate conversation. Couldn’t have been better.”

He then told the media to “keep asking questions and building it up as big as possible so you can have a bigger downfall.”

  1. New on the so-called whistleblower: he wasn’t even a real whistleblower. Asche Schow at the Daily Wire points out a paragraph in CNN’s own reporting that pretty much destroys this as a scandal.

    The paragraph in question:

The whistleblower didn’t have direct knowledge of the communications, an official briefed on the matter told CNN. Instead, the whistleblower’sconcerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration’s determination that the complaint didn’t fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said.

So this person did not actually overhear anything directly, but was reporting hearsay from someone else still active. And the so-called “whistleblower” didn’t actually learn it in the course of his duties, so he’s not a whistleblower at all. The whistleblower protections exist to make sure someone who learns about something wrong during the course of his work is not retaliated against for pointing it out. This person was not even employed by the government any more, so needed no “whistleblower” protection.

So why did this get reported as if it were a whistleblower? Probably for just one reason: anything reported by an actual whistleblower is supposed to be notified to Congress. By falsely labeling this as a whistleblower report, they were able to either give the Democratic House a notification, or allow them to grandstand about the corruption in the White House that refused to follow the whistleblower law.

Once again, all a setup to try to make Trump look corrupt and justify impeachment.

  2. I wondered if this whole thing was a troll by Trump. He is a master manipulator of the media, and what better way to get them to talk about the whole Biden scandal? By freaking out about Trump’s conversation, they are inadvertently revealing the story that thus far they were keeping under wraps.

    1. Tell us why exactly Trump should go to jail. Specifics please.
And while we’re at it tell us why Hillary Clinton should not go to jail.

        1. What’s in there? Enough to charge Trump with a crime?
Guess not. Yet you’re ready to pronounce sentence.

          Now, the Clintons?

          1. Plenty to charge Trump with crimes. But of course he is above the law. I take it you haven’t read the report, huh? “Don’t believe what you see or hear.”

  3. The media doesn’t know when to quit. Since Trump said this person is a partisan I wonder who it was from the Obama administration? Hmmmmm. Clapper was the DNI or could it be Sue Porter who just left?????

      1. Think it happened a little too early for Bolton. Didn’t someone say August? That’s why I thought of Sue Gordon.

  4. The left is worried that their “best” candidate that they think can beat Trump might be getting investigated for his and his sons shady dealings with the Ukraine. That is exactly what this is all about. They are terrified Biden is about to be exposed.

    1. I’m a little surprised that Trump feels the need to use taxpayer money in an attempt to bribe another country into helping him defeat Biden though.

      1. Uh, the need to use taxpayer money against another country was from Joe The Used Car Salesman for his son. He BRAGGED that he held a $1BILLION threat over Ukraine to fire the investigator digging into Burisma Holdings that employed Hunter Biden as a board member. He told Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, flat out, he would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. That’s commonly known as “extortion”.
But Trump PERHAPS asking about Biden’s blackmail of a foreign nation with US taxpayers funds is “bribing” them? You people are so blinded by hatred of Trump you’ve literally gone insane.

      2. Yeah, that’s worse that actually using taxpayer money to bribe a foreign country into dropping corruption charges against your son.

        1. It’s not Trump that’s running scared but if delusions make you feel better I would say you’re posting on the wrong site.

  5. Biden’s family is a cesspool of bad behavior, rent seeking and outright political corruption. Then you have the Chinese investments in his son’s firm. His sons marital woes is like a bad Lifetime movie.
I sense this was a trap by Trump, he knew going after Biden’s behavior with Ukraine would stir up a hornets nest and bring out the deep state.

  6. I have a feeling Joe Biden will have the biggest downfall since this is DIRECTLY related to his deals with Ukraine and the fact he threatened the Ukrainian government if they didn’t stop the investigation into Beau Biden… as the press builds up this story; they’re going to have to cover Biden’s deals. POTUS runs rings around the media until they have to cover what they intend to cover up.

    1. absolutely right Cic,not just Joe and his Son,but this will begin the Ripple Effect and touch nearly all the radical left candidates.Trump will probably coast to a huge victory next November.

      1. This will lead up to Obama… this stuff wasn’t supposed to be known to the American public because Hillary was going to be POTUS.

        1. I think so, and I hope its not a huge distraction from the AG Barr going after those FBI agents and all those problems with FISA.

          1. That’s a separate issue and I believe high-information voters are tuned in to that investigation… i
What’s funny is how the MSM is turning the Trump-Ukraine call as “illegal” while overlooking Biden’s corruption in that country. It will backfire, again. Trump is going to make them cover it now. Biden’s campaign is on its last legs…

  7. Hmmmmm. What dastardly conversation will our media report Trump had with Zelensky? 🙂

    AFP news agency
#BREAKING Ukrainian President Zelensky to meet Trump next week: Kiev

    1. Joe was probably going down anyway. Never thought I’d see a candidate as propped up as Hillary, but Joe has her beat….falls apart left & right.

      1. Wait till Joe starts showing up in Uncle Fester style outfits, the way Hillary did. Then he’ll win his beloved base of bumpkins back.

  8. …one thing the President does and does it well is to speak in a language that every one understands.Plain and simple.

  9. The walls are closing in….

    This time for sure!!!

I’d like to criticize Trump for always calling the media Fake News, but … it’s accurate.

  10. As suspected, the WaPo article of leaks was a strategic one to distract from the Biden issues and make the whole story about Trump. Not even a little bit surprising. This is what these leakers do… they leak to the WaPo to get their spin out in the media so that when the real story comes along, people have stopped paying attention.
