Trump was asked yesterday by a reporter if there was anything from his first two years in office that he regrets and he gave an honest answer about a legitimate regret.

Trump indicated that he has more regrets but doesn’t necessarily want to air them out to the media. He had a somewhat tumultuous ride in the White House for a while with all the media leaks and I’m sure that he has some regrets about who he brought in with him.
But I did like his answer about tone. I doubt he will change, but he did say it’s something he is working on and it’s at least good to know he’s cognizant of it.
If somehow Republicans survive the day and keep the House and win more seats in the Senate, then I hope he does soften his tone over the next two years as he’s obviously got 2020 to think about.
