WATCH: Trump responds to his Acting CBP Commissioner resigning

It was announced a few minutes ago that the Acting Director of Customs and Border Patrol was resigning. Of course, this comes after reports that a migrant facility in El Paso was found to be in great neglect:

About 100 of the more than 300 migrant children who were moved Monday from a detention facility where conditions had been described as “unconscionable” were moved back to the camp on Tuesday. Around the same time, acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner John Sanders, whose agency runs the much-criticized operation housing migrant children who have been separated from their parents, announced his resignation.

The media would lead us to believe that these two things are connected, and perhaps they are. But according to Fox News, the reason for this resignation is very much unknown at this time.

It’s also noteworthy that Sanders has only been on the job for a couple of months, having replaced McAleenan when left that position to become Acting DHS Secretary.

According to Trump, he wasn’t responsible for the resignation and hasn’t spoken to Sanders about anything:

Trump did say in a separate video that they are moving people around in the administration and are able to do things that they wouldn’t be able to do if it weren’t for Mexico helping out with troops on both of their borders.
