Trump was asked today about Omar and Tlaib being denied admission into Israel and he ripped into them both. He also suggested that any Jewish person voting for a Democrat nowadays is being disloyal to Israel or they don’t have all the facts:

“I can’t even believe that we’re having this conversation. Five years ago, the concept of even talking about this, even 3 years ago, of cutting off aid to Israel because of 2 people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people. I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation. Where has the Democratic Party gone? Where have they gone where they’re defending these 2 people over the state of Israel? I think that any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”
It’s tough rhetoric but it’s true. I’ve heard Mark Levin say very similar things for the last decade with Obama in the White House, wondering how any Jews can support a president who hated Israel so much.
Trump is just echoing the same sentiment, saying that both Omar and Tlaib are a disaster for Jewish people and that he can’t imagine that any Jew could actually vote for these two. With Omar pushing for the US to cut off aid to Israel, with the dangerous position they are in begin surrounded by enemies, I don’t see how anyone can deny it.
But he does take it farther than just Omar and Tlaib because the Democratic Party is defending them, which is why he says “any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”
I’m sure the media will twist this into him suggesting Jews are being disloyal to him or Republicans, but he’s clearly talking about Israel.
