WATCH: Tucker talks to Jacob Chansley’s attorney about the new J6 footage

Tucker Carlson had on the mother and attorney of Jacob Chansley tonight to discuss the new January 6th footage that shows Chansley being escorted around by Capitol police.

Chansley’s attorney was the more interesting part of the interview and he explained that Chansley is in a tough spot thanks to his prior attorney.

Watch:

Shipley explained that Chansley’s prior attorney, Albert Watkins, talked him into signing a “terrible” plea agreement that prevents him from appealing his case at all.

In fact he said Watkins had him pleading guilty before the government was even willing to say they had produced all the video.

In light of the new surveillance video, Tucker asked how does he get Chansley out of jail.

Shipley said there’s no easy solution at this point, that they’re going to have to be creative just to get it back in front of Judge Lamberth who sentenced him.

Shipley noted that Lamberth gave Chansley the sentence that Watkins negotationed in the plea agreement, and that Lamberth might not be happy knowing that the federal government didn’t present all the surveillance video at the trial.
