It really is amazing to watch Democrats, especially those running for president, respond to Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks.
In the latest edition of ‘Do you condemn Ilhan Omar’s remarks as anti-Semitic’, Tulsi Gabbard not only refuses to condemn them but defends Omar, saying she was just trying to bring up a deeper issue:
These 2020 candidates know what the Democrat base is full of anti-Semitism and is also very sensitive to Muslims, so they must walk carefully on this issue or it could mean their candidacy.
And that’s exactly what Gabbard was doing here. In fact at first it sounded like she might be ready to condemn the remarks, saying she’s also been accused of dual loyalties because she’s Hindu. (She didn’t expand). But when pressed on the issue she defended Omar, saying she didn’t mean to be offensive at all. She was just trying to bring up a deeper issue or something.
You know, if Omar were a white man and made those comments (like David Duke), Democrats wouldn’t hesitate to throw ‘him’ under the bus. But because she’s a Muslim woman she gets a pass. She has to or it could mean their demise.
Omar knows she’s untouchable now, so expect her to keep up the anti-Semitism.
