WATCH: Ukrainian-born Republican gives impassioned speech about protecting the Second Amendment

Ukrainian-born House Rep. Victoria Sparks from Indiana gave an impassioned speech about protecting the Second Amendment today in a committee hearing on a Democrat bill to ban guns in America.

Watch:

Here’s a quote from the beginning:

We either believe in this right of the second amendment right as American citizens or we don’t believe. And if we don’t believe then we better tell our children and grandchildren they are not protected against foreign and domestic enemies and tyrannical governments. They’re not protected from bandits and they’re life and safety is not going to be protected and guaranteed.

You really should listen to the whole thing because as someone who immigrated here, she really appreciates these freedoms as much as we do. And she will do everything in her power to make sure Democrats don’t destroy them.

In case you’re wondering about this bill, this tells you everything you need to know right here:

As Nadler points out, this bill bans firearms that are in common use today. He says that’s the point of the bill.

Now you understand better why Rep. Spartz was so impassioned against it.
