President Zelensky just posted a video of himself and his team in Kyiv tonight despite the ongoing Russian invasion:

According to the tweeter, Zelensky said “We are here. We are in Kyiv. We are defending Ukraine.”
This is the very kind of thing that will inspire his people and his military to fight even harder for Ukraine against the Russians. If Zelensky had fled Ukraine to protect his own life, I think it would be a very different situation in the country.
It was also just reported six hours ago that Zelensky told EU leaders “This might be the last time you see me alive.”

This is probably because he knows he’s not going to be in hiding. I’m sure he’s taking ample precautions, but clearly he wants his people to know that he’s not dead, he’s not hiding, that he’s in this with them. Very admirable.
