I really hope the dems run with this position because it’s very unpopular with the American public. While most are more generous than the immigration enforcement most of us would want, they are also NOT in favor of open borders. Keep pushing for it, Democrats, and watch us keep winning elections.
As an aside, I would caution we conservatives against vilifying all illegal immigrants. Most Americans have compassion for what some call “economic refugees,” even if they want better border enforcement…
