“We should not be selling these weapons of war in the US!” – Ted Cruz challenger Beto O’Rourke

This exchange between a radio show in Texas and Beto O’Rourke is the perfect example of what an uphill battle O’Rourke has to defeat incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz for his Senate seat:

O’Rourke is really trying to pull the wool over on some Texans on the issue of guns. On the one hand he admits he wants to ban the sale of ARs and other “weapons of war”. Of course you can keep yours if you already bought it, he suggests.

Yet at the same time he wants people to believe that he’s somewhat reasonable, that he might “come to a different conclusion” if we actually have this debate about banning guns. Yeah, right. The only thing he’d change his mind on is how many more guns to include in the ban.

He also readily admits that he wants to impeach Trump for collusion with Russia, even though no collusion has been found (or proven) by anyone:

Not to mention so-called ‘collusion’ isn’t illegal. But just like the far left, O’Rourke don’t need a legal means to call for Trump’s impeachment. Just whatever goes, apparently.

And with that kind of haphazard attitude on impeachment, it should tell you all you need to know on his judgement when it comes to guns. Today, just the AR. But another shooting after he’s elected Senator, and BAM!, we gotta ban all guns and repeal the 2nd amendment, etc.
