A reporter from the Weather Channel, Jim Cantore, was in Punta Gorda, Florida when Hurricane Ian made landfall earlier today.
As you’ll see in the video below, he nearly got blown away as he was trying to cover the category four storm.

Cantore eventually makes it to the street sign, where he says he’s ok but that he just can’t stand up.
It’s a very intense picture of just how bad Ian was coming ashore today as a category four storm.
Ian has now become a Category 3 as of 6:00pm, with 115 mph winds and gusts up to 155 mph.
