Recep Tayyip Erdoğan won reelection as president of Turkey on Sunday, meaning his now 20-year stint as what Scoop likes to call Sultan Erdogan will continue into 2028.
The president was handing out cash money to voters at the polling site where he cast his own vote.
Former president Donald Trump was elated by the victory of his friend and posted about it on Truth Social.
“Congratulations to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his big and well deserved victory in Turkey,” he wrote. “I know him well, he is a friend, and have learned firsthand how much he loves his Country and the great people of Turkey, which he has lifted to a new level of prominence and respect!”
Welp. I ain’t quite as thrilled that the guy who dreams of the caliphate is getting more time, personaly.
