After people started getting vaccinated, the question of what being vaccinated means to your ability to live your life as a free Texan and American came up right quick. Can we take off masks? Stand near other humans? Enter restaurants in person??? All these questions and more were asked.
In answer, Dr. Anthony Fauci said “hold yer horses, don’t take your masks off. In fact, wear two!”
And when Texas and Florida said “hey we’re getting vaccines and herd immunity and also people know what they’re doing and can manage their risk and we know more about Covid now than we did a year ago when lockdowns started so maybe let’s go outside now” the media across America lost their minds and said everyone was going to die.
That didn’t happen of course. But this did, today:

Oh you mean the vaccine that we were all supposed to wait for (after you changed it from us waiting for the curve to get flat) does the thing you were waiting for it to do? So when you moved the goalposts from “flatten the curve” to “get the vaccine” to “even with the vaccine forget about it” you were just … what … idiots?
Yeah I’ll go with that one.
Couple this with former CDC Director Redfield saying Wuhan lab did the pandemic and … it’s really been some kind of week
