This morning I told you about Senators Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley pledging to vote for the $2000 COVID relief checks. Well now two more Republican Senators have come forward to pledge their support as well:
President @realdonaldtrump is right — I support this push for $2,000 in direct relief for the American people. https://t.co/Al3USM7zPr

I agree with @realDonaldTrump — we need to deliver $2,000 direct relief checks to the American people.

With Democrats holding 47 seats in the US Senate, these four votes would ensure it passes on a simple majority vote, assuming the filibuster isn’t an issue. Hawley tweeted that they now have the votes and called for the legislation to be voted on today:
We’ve got the votes. Let’s vote today https://t.co/woFBHPMSjz

I still suspect several more Republicans will come forward to pledge their support for the bill, like Murkowski and Collins.
I also checked McConnell’s Twitter account and thus far there’s no tweets from him since the 27th. The ball is clearly in his court.
