Apparently Trump is so optimistic about the Singapore summit he has coming up in a few days that he’s already considering Mar-a-Lago as the place for the next summit, should this one go well:
NY POST – President Trump is thinking about inviting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to his exclusive Florida resort for a follow-up summit if they hit it off at their meeting next week in Singapore, a report said.
The sitdown at Mar-a-Lago, which Trump considers his winter White House, could happen in the fall if the two leaders make progress in their June 12 talks, Bloomberg reported.
The White House on Tuesday confirmed that Trump and Kim will meet at the luxurious Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island.
Perhaps this is a good will gesture from Trump, showing that he’s ‘all in’ on these negotiations or something. But my first thought on this is hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I’m still not convinced Un is even serious about this.
Secondly, an invitation to the US seems a bit much at this point don’t ya think?? After all, Un is still a murderous dictator who oppresses his people in horrific ways. Even if he agrees to denuclearize and does it, I don’t want him anywhere near this country!
