White House COVID-19 coordinator Jeffrey Zients:
If a workplace refuses to follow the standard, the OSHA fines can be quite significant. Enforcement actions includes fines up to 13,600 per violation.
I’m not exactly sure what constitutes a violation but I suspect the fines will be per unvaccianted employee, which is likely why Zients said the fines would be significant.
I really don’t think this is going to fly and hopefully a federal court will quickly block this fascist rule from being enforced, because it will undoubtedly have devastating effects on both businesses and the larger economy.
