White House ‘extremely upset’ at NY Times over Biden age coverage

Joe Biden and his lackeys are reportedly “extremely upset” at the New York Times – and I presume other outlets – over their coverage on Biden’s mental issues regarding his age.

Politico reports:

The New York Times Publisher A.G. Sulzberger said Monday that the White House is “extremely upset” about its coverage on President Joe Biden’s age but the newspaper will “continue to report fully and fairly.”

“We are going to continue to report fully and fairly, not just on Donald Trump but also on President Joe Biden,” Sulzberger said in an interview with The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

“He is a historically unpopular incumbent and the oldest man to ever hold this office. We’ve reported on both of those realities extensively, and the White House has been extremely upset about it.”

Criticism over coverage of Biden’s low approval ratings and, more especially, Biden’s age has sparked disapproval both from the Biden campaign and some members of the press. News stories of Biden’s age gained even more traction among the press as special counsel Robert Hur wrote in his recent report, entirely without prompting, that Biden was “an elderly man with a poor memory.”

While Sulzberger might want to be fair with his coverage, this former New York Times public editor wants him to stop:

Last week, former New York Times public editor Margaret Sullivan said she found the coverage of this news, specifically in her old Times haunt, completely overcooked.

Sullivan wrote that she wishes that Sulzberger would instruct his opinion editor and the top news editor to cease “going overboard with both coverage and commentary about Biden’s age” and “tone it down.”

Now there’s the garbage media people that we know and hate. I guarantee you Margaret Sullivan would have never told her counterparts “tone it down” when covering Trump.

Meanwhile, the White House is planning to use State of the Union address as a ‘big reset’:

Biden officials see next month’s State of the Union address as a big, public reset moment — a chance to overcome or at least neutralize concerns about President Biden’s age and vitality.

Many top Democrats are convinced that if the election were today, Biden would lose a rematch with former President Trump. Biden’s address on March 7 is his biggest chance to shift public perceptions.

To give Biden something to ‘campaign’ on while giving the speech, he’s planning an executive order to stop illegals from crossing the border:

One bold move that Biden has considered, we’re told, is an executive order that would dramatically stanch the record flow of migrants into the Southwest. This could even happen in the two weeks before the address, allowing Biden to say he took action while Republicans just talk.

It’s all politics with Biden. He doesn’t actually care about the border, he just wants to win an election. People aren’t stupid. They see right through this.
