Yesterday the White House went after Republicans on Twitter who vocally opposed Biden’s debt forgiveness program, trying to make them look like hypocrites to embarrass them into submission.
Here’s a few examples:
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene had $183,504 in PPP loans forgiven.https://t.co/4FoCymt8TB

Congressman Vern Buchanan had over $2.3 million in PPP loans forgiven.https://t.co/bXpwJlWRm4

Congressman Markwayne Mullin had over $1.4 million in PPP loans forgiven.https://t.co/Vc7mLQa2RS

And the list goes on…
What makes this so absurd is the comparison of PPP loans, otherwise known as the Paycheck Protection Program, which were loans that were given during the pandemic to protect businesses that were forced to shut down by governors because of the Wuhan virus.
Ben Shapiro makes the point quite well:
So it is now the White House's position that if the government forces you to shut down your business and provides you just compensation to keep people employed, that's the same thing as you failing to pay the college loans you voluntarily undertook. Geniuses. pic.twitter.com/omisWPetaY

Exactly right. It’s completely moronic because there is no comparison here.
But the left is eating this up as though it’s the best trolling ever.
This is the best White House trolling ever!

The @WhiteHouse is doing some serious trolling tonight and I like it.

This is some savage trolling by the White House. I'm sure it will cause a run on fainting couches by the right wing intelligentsia, but it's entirely accurate. https://t.co/F7IwGceebP

Just a bunch of partisan idiot cheerleaders.
