White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre couldn’t explain to a reporter today the emergency behind Biden using the Defense Production Act to make more solar panels.
The reporter made clear in their question that the DPA has been invoked historically for emergencies, like making ventilators during Covid.
After dodging the question, the reporter presses Jean-Pierre to name the emergency and still she refuses. Because there is no emergency.
Biden is only using this to push his expensive green new deal agenda, while refusing to do anything to unleash American energy to actually lower gas prices.
If the media wanted they could have a field day scandalizing Biden for being so out of touch and uncaring. But they only save that kind hostility for Republicans like Trump.
