White House Press Secretary Jay Carney sure didn’t like being asked why Obama didn’t put out an Easter statement. In fact he didn’t like it so much he mocked and laugh in a dismissive way:
Obama didn’t publish a statement about Easter but he loves Jesus as much as the next guy and certainly respects the Christian Holiday. Sure. He also doesn’t participate in the National Day of Prayer, but he still prayed by himself. Of course. I have a feeling it went something like this.
You know the old saying, actions speak louder than words? Well, maybe not in this case.
