WIN: Judge recommends that Democrat challenge to MTG eligibility should be DROPPED

The state administrative judge overseeing the challenge to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s eligibility because ore her so-called involvement in the January 6th riot has just recommended that Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who makes the ultimate decision on this, should keep her on the ballot:

DC EXAMINER – A Georgia judge has recommended that a challenge to GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s reelection eligibility be dropped, with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger set to make the final decision.

Judge Charles Beaudrot from the Office of State Administrative Hearings made the recommendation following an April 22 hearing to establish if Greene had participated in “insurrection” due to her ties to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Raffensperger is not expected to remove Greene, who is popular in her conservative northwest Georgia district and among Trump supporters nationwide, due to his reelection campaign. Raffensperger faces his own reelection challenge, facing off in the May 24 Republican primary for secretary of state against Rep. Jody Hice, who claims the 2020 presidential election vote-counting process was corrupted. Raffensperger has already received ire from Trump and his supporters due to his refusal to investigate claims of voter fraud in Georgia during the 2020 presidential election.

A group of voters from Greene’s district brought the case against her due to her alleged involvement in Jan. 6 riot, which prosecutors argued amounted to an insurrection. They argued that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment prohibits from election to public office anyone who “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the” United States or has “given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”

Greene testified at the hearing that she had very little recollection of the events leading up to the riot on Jan. 6, 2021, and denied that she wanted the rally that day to turn violent.

The whole case was stupid from the get go and I’m glad this state administrative judge saw through the absurdity of it.

Now it’s just up to Raffensperger to make the right decision and keep MTG on the ballot, which I’m sure he’ll do given this recommendation.

The people should decide whether they want to be represented by MTG or someone else. That’s their right and only a leftist would want to take it away from them.
