A man in Massachusetts who was minding his own business at a Mexican restaurant, while wearing a MAGA hat, was assaulted by a Brazilian woman who apparently didn’t like the hat at all.
Rosiane Santos allegedly ripped the hat off his head, tried to push his face into his food and then pulled the hat down over his face, the latter which was caught on video:
Well it turns out that Rosiane Santos is currently in the country illegally.
She’s now in ICE custody and will be deported:
CBS BOSTON – The woman who was charged with confronting a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat inside a Falmouth Mexican restaurant is now in ICE custody. The department said she was in the country illegally.
Police said Rosiane Santos walked by Bryton Turner as he was eating dinner at Casa Vallarta and knocked the hat off his head. She then allegedly confronted him verbally.
Turner recorded video showing some of the confrontation.
Falmouth Police charged Santos with disorderly conduct following the incident earlier this month. On Tuesday, ICE took her into custody.
“Deportation officers with ICE’s Fugitive Operations Team arrested Rosiane Santos, an unlawfully present citizen of Brazil, today near Falmouth, Massachusetts,” said ICE spokesman John Mohan. “Santos is currently facing local charges for assault and other offenses. She is presently in ICE custody and has been entered into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts.”
Turner said he was just trying to eat a nice meal when Santos grabbed his hat supporting President Trump.
“It’s just a hat at the end of the day,” Turner told WBZ after the incident. “I don’t really understand why people can’t just express themselves anymore, everybody has to get mad.”
Well dang. I bet she regrets losing her temper now!
And note that while she looks all chipper in the photo above, the video above reported that police had difficulty removing Santos from the restaurant. Heh, I bet I know why.
I do wonder though, if in retrospect, this Trump supported would say this was worth it since it helped ICE find another illegal?
I suspect he might, LOL!
