“I have Down’s Syndrome, and my life is worth living.”
That brief sentence is deep and powerful enough all on its own. You feel it. But it is not all on its own. It’s just part of what was said this week by Frank Stephens, an advocate for people who, like him, have Down syndrome.
In testimony before the House Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Stephens addressed the need for funding and research into the condition’s link to Alzheimer’s, as well as his disgust and outrage with the “final solution” pro-abortion advocates propose for people with Down syndrome.
Get Kleenex. Then watch:
“I completely understand that the people pushing this particular ‘final solution’ are saying that people like me should not exist.”
Yes they are.
Value life. Look at the courage and character it produces.
