Youngkin looks poised to win the Virginia governor’s race and here’s why…

The momentum in the race for the governor of Virginia has completely shifted in the last month and it now looks like Youngkin could be Virginia’s next governor. Here’s the latest polling tracker from RCP:

As you can see, Youngkin now leads McAuliffe almost 2 points in the average of polls, which is a huge shift from the 5 point lead McAuliffe had exactly one month ago.

Just yesterday, two different polls came out showing Youngkin with a 2 point lead:

That’s the polling.

There are also Democrats admitting that they are voting for Youngkin:

Suffice it to say, this should be a good night for Youngkin if all of this truly pans out. If it is does, I hope it’s not a close race like the polls suggest. I hope it’s a slaughter for Youngkin. Any size victory will send a huge message to Democrats around the country, but a landslide would send the best message.

That being said, none of this is set in stone yet. So if you live in Virginia and you haven’t voted yet, go vote for Youngkin!
