In a pretty funny exchange, journalist Michael Wolff got to tell Kellyanne Conway “you’re the darkness.” She didn’t take it very well.

The reference is to a tagline that the media is using, “Democracy dies in darkness” to impress on readers just how important they are in our country to protect freedom. And that’s true, but they only realize that when there’s a guy in the Oval Office with an “R” behind his name.
Wolff is good enough to admit that the tagline is rather pretentious of the media to take on. So far, Trump is just not the anti-media Hitler that we were told he would be. BUT, it is right to stay on guard – after all, it was because of his own pronouncements about the media that we were warned. He’s the one who said he would ease libel laws so that he could sue the press more easily. He’s the one who locked out the media just because they said things he didn’t like. And he has the full power of the federal government behind him now. I thought conservatives were supposed to not trust the government?
