YouTube blocks Epoch Times from making money on their videos

In another example of censorship, YouTube has demonetized Epoch Times, blocking them from making any money on their YouTube video content:

NEWSMAX – YouTube has stopped The Epoch Times from earning money off its videos.

Just the News reported the media company was stripped of its ability to monetize video content just days ago.

“YouTube demonetized The Epoch Times and related accounts last week,” Stephen Gregory, publisher of The Epoch Times told Just the News in an email. “This is the latest example of big tech suppression of free speech, a step on the road to communist-style censorship.”

A YouTube spokesperson confirmed The Epoch Times and affiliated channels had been demonetized and the publication had been suspended from the YouTube Partner Program. “All channels on YouTube need to comply with our Community Guidelines, and in order to monetize, channels must comply with the YouTube Partner Program policies, which include our Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines,” the spokesperson said. “Channels that repeatedly violate these policies are suspended from our partner program.”

The spokesperson said those suspended from the YPP can reapply in 30 days.

I don’t know much about Epoch Times, but the fact that they are a conservative news site is probably all we need to know about them.

What we do know about YouTube is that they are heavy handed when it comes to censorship, as well as making some conservative content harder to find via their search. Just ask Lila Rose and Steven Crowder.

As I said earlier today, we are in the age of censorship. The left seemingly controls everything these days, from many of our college institutions to big tech companies to the media. And they are now ready to silence anyone who disagrees with them loudly enough.
