Mick Mulvaney explained that Trump’s threat to Congress was to take away their health care subsidy to “bear the burden” of the cost of health care.
Watch below:
I feel bad for Mulvaney having to explain this and pretend it’s useful at all. We spend trillions on health care but the price tag for 500 members of Congress is going to make a difference somehow? When a lot of these people are millionaires and can get whatever insurance they want? Kinda silly. But that’s what politics is these days – outrage and threats. No wonder he can’t get anything done. [I know I know, except for Gorsuch.]
Here’s his threat via twitter:
If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!
