Trump just posted a graphic from August 28 that shows quite a few projections of the hurricane going through Alabama:
This was the originally projected path of the Hurricane in its early stages. As you can see, almost all models predicted it to go through Florida also hitting Georgia and Alabama. I accept the Fake News apologies! pic.twitter.com/0uCT0Qvyo6

August 28 was last Wednesday when the hurricane was still pretty far away. Clearly the projections show Alabama as a potential path and we’ve already proved that even on Friday Alabama was still in the impact zone of Dorian.
But the major point of contention was that Trump mentioned Alabama on Sunday, well after the Hurricane projections had radically changed and Alabama was no longer in the impact zone.
Look I have no problem defending Trump with regard to the fact that the predictions did show Alabama was in the crosshairs of Dorian. We’ve already done that. But by Saturday it was old news and it sounds like either he hadn’t realized it on Sunday when he said it or his people didn’t do him any favors with the information he had at his disposal.
He really should just let this one go.
