Abandon ship! Beto’s top aides are LEAVING his bumbling campaign already!

Well, it sure was fun making fun of the Democratic party’s favorite fake Mexican, Beto O’Rourke, but it looks like our time is coming to an end very soon.

Or at least, his aides certainly think so:

Two aides to former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) have reportedly departed his 2020 presidential campaign, an O’Rourke spokesperson told BuzzFeed News on Saturday.

Becky Bond, a top adviser to O’Rourke, and her deputy, Zack Malitz, have both left the campaign. The two worked on O’Rourke’s competitive 2018 Texas Senate bid against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

Chris Evans, a spokesman for O’Rourke, said Bond and Malitz were staffers on a “temporary” basis and didn’t respond to questions about the reasons they left the campaign, BuzzFeed News reported.

Bond told BuzzFeed News in a statement that it was “time for us to move on to other challenges.”

Other challenges, like a campaign that might have a snowball’s chance in hell of being successful?

“Launching a presidential campaign without a big staff or even a campaign manager was no easy feat and it took everyone pitching in. We’re proud to have been part of the team of deeply dedicated staff and volunteers who nearly pulled off a historic upset in the 2018 Texas Senate race and broke records launching Beto’s campaign for the presidency,” Bond added.

Also they saw his support all swing to booty-judge and abandon Señor Pendejo. Pobrecito!!

Well that’s it for Sunday, we hope you had a great and blessed Easter!!

Enjoy an open thread. Here’s some comment fodder:

Aw cute.

Aw… stupid.

Take care!!

  1. Both aids are professional Democrat campaign staff. Beto wasn’t paying. So they’re going to work on an actual campaign that is serious about winning, not just stuffing a war chest full of sweaty cash and butt nuzzling a VP spot.

  2. Awww, Beto, we hardly knew ye. Oh well, sayonara, don’t let the door hit you in the @$$ on the way out.

  3. Story over at the Daily Wire about the NYT finally acknowledging that the Steele Dossier wasn’t really factual. Duh? Took them long enough.

Think of the amount of damage done by that Dossier and the gullible media and masses who found it to be believable. They started off with the over-the-top salacious urinating prostitutes. Remember when there were #nevertrumper’s here in the comments crowing about how it was over for Trump? I do.

I remember having long arguments back and forth with the gullible TDSers who were insistent that parts of the Dossier were “factual” and had been “proven” or that the Dossier had a lot of “credible allegations”. It was always bs leftist propaganda.

    1. The anti Trump are still clinging to the Russia story and treat this political smear report as the last word on the matter.

A response is coming, though that will have a very different picture.

      1. Sadly, it’s not just that person who was merely the face of intellectual dishonesty and logical failure. It’s all the people who were on that spectrum of “the Dossier is credible” and even the legion of half-lurkers who were upvoting that nonsense. The enablers and supporters are almost bad as the ones who commented their TDS drivel.

I don’t like naming names of people not here, but there was one who was constantly accusing us of being confused conspiracy theorists when we were the ones who actually had a clue about what was going on. No apologies will be forthcoming from that one, I’m sure.

  4. Eh? What wuz dat I heard? Wuz dat a torbeto, it’s like a torpedo but with flailing fins, striking the side of the ship?

  5. Hmm. I’d like to play a game of battleship with Beta. I’d win every time cause he sinks his own battleship.

  6. So, is Beto’s spokesman, Chris Evans, going to go back to playing Captain America?

    1. I wondered the same. With the premier of Endgame this upcoming weekend, I think he’ll be pretty busy and not have time to work on political campaigns.

  7. During the Senate election my daughter and son in law were all in on Beto. They put a sign in their yard and anytime I went over there I told them someone vandalized their house with a Beto sign trying to make it look like idiots lived there. The joke never got old for me but it was wearing on my son in law
    😆

But the other day he showed up with a Beto for America shirt on – all I could do is sadly shake my head. 🙁

    1. @tracy Tell your brain washed son-in-law for me that wearing that beto t-shirt is the equivalent of wear a t-shirt with a bull’s eye on it. You should wear a t-shirt that shows a sinking Titanic and says, “Beto voters and the passengers of the Titanic have a lot in common.”

    2. I told them someone vandalized their house with a Beto sign trying to make it look like idiots lived there.

You must be a hoot as a mom, Tracy. Too funny.

My girls aren’t married yet, but so far they seem to be fairly conservative and have been dating boys who have good heads on their shoulders and seem to be mostly right-leaning. I have a very strongly conservative friend whose daughter is a raging lib and has a raging lib boyfriend. I really pity the guy during family get-togethers.

      1. It’s more heartbreaking for me that she stopped going to church than how she votes, I try not to blame the son in law for her change but its hard.

I pray for patience with him and her both.

However, I will mock them for supporting empty head morons like Beto! :silly:

  8. Michelle Malkin posting on The Daily Wire about Chase Bank dumping conservatives and then lying about it:

On Tuesday, investigative journalist James O’Keefe and his Project Veritas team released a disturbing new video on the runaround that Chase officials gave Texas conservative entrepreneur Enrique Tarrio about his canceled account. Big business may very well be enabling America’s very own version of the Chinese social credit system in which political dissent is flagged, shunned, punished and eradicated.

    1. Yes these corporations are doing the job the bill of rights prevents government from doing.

      Privatized tyranny.

  9. It’s not too late for Dems to #SpendItAllOnBeto

Send him your rent money! Your spare change! Soros needs to dump a $Mil into Beto’s campaign, STAT!

    1. I saw that. He attacked someone in a restaurant a couple years ago too. He needs to be locked up in padded cell and throw away the key.

    1. @pybop The typical brain washed Beto supporter would also have several yard signs that read, “This is a gun free home”. “Climate change is real”, “Illegals have rights”, “Abortion advocate”, “Male toxicity is dangerous”, and “Socialism Not Capitalism”.

    2. …or bumper sticker….they are black with white rims. They SHOULD BE white with black rims, signifying the death of his campaigns….all of them.

    3. Wrong. Placing a Beto sign in my yard wouldn’t say “you’re stupid”. It would say “I’m stupid”.

    4. @pybop It’s horrible, but as I drive home from work each day, whenever I see a car with a Beto sign I have to say “Well there’s an idiot.” Makes me feel bad but the colossal stupidity of Beto supporters just boggles my mind.

  10. Construction Trump   Thanks for your hard work today Sooper. I hope you had a great Easter Sunday too.

    1. As they should be. Unfortunately most of the GOP senators could care less as long as their big donors are satisfied. Mitch stated at a campaign event his next big push is raising the smoking age to 21 so border crisis be damned.

      1. Which is the legislative equivalent of fiddling while Rome burns, ugh. McConnell seriously needs to be voted out of office (retire) but he didn’t get there on his own and those who voted for him need to either wake up or get a clue.

      2. That should be an interesting push/ pull since the donkeycrats want to lower the voting age to 16.

    2. Begs the question of why the House Dems are not down there as well. Of course we know the reason they aren’t down there. They don’t want to know that there’s a very real and dire situation down there. This is one of many facts that ruin their fairytale narrative because to the Dems “The Narrative” IS their god. They don’t care about these poor children anymore than they cared about slave children (currently and back in the day) and the unborn. All children are is a means to an end in their demonic worship of “The Narrative”.

      1. I think they know full well and expect the media to keep gaslighting us that there isnt a crisis so they can ignore it for political reasons.

I mean their voters may be stupid but some dem reps are probably bright enough fo understand what is going on down there.

        1. @Tracy

You did your yoga today, that’s a big stretch to say that democrats are bright enough… 😉

    3. It is always amazing how out of touch politicians are with the real world. Yet they think they have all the answers for every problem. In total, they do more harm than good.

  11. Both aids are professional Democrat campaign staff. Beto wasn’t paying. So they’re going to work on an actual campaign that is serious about winning, not just stuffing a war chest full of sweaty cash and butt nuzzling a VP spot.

      1. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating. Those people are indistinguishable from Democrats, they’ve gotten so good at following the leftist marching orders.

They were so sure that Trump was guilty of being a Putin puppet but now that we know he wasn’t, they’ve moved on to the obstruction red herring – just like good little Democrats.

      1. Sadly, it’s not just that person who was merely the face of intellectual dishonesty and logical failure. 1. @ttt Maybe I should go to work. I don’t really feel like it, maybe I’ll call in dead. That only works once, though.

        1. I had a guy working for me years ago who would always have emergency trips down to Florida to visit his “dying grandmother”.

God must have blessed her because she recovered from near death at least 10 times over 5 years and he always came back with the deep tan of having experienced a miracle.

          1. @ttt That’s hilarious, I worked with a guy whose grandmother died three times. The boss started catching on the third time.

  16. The construction worker’s impersonation of Trump is so good that he should become famous and cash in on it.

  17. Did yall see how Christian’s killed yesterday are just being called Easter worshippers by progs? Very bizarre.

    Obianuju Ekeocha (@obianuju) Tweeted:
Whoa! This is more widespread than I thought

Dear Christian brothers and sisters, it seems the Democrats are in the process of renaming us to “Easter worshippers”.

Thanks @DefeatTheElites for putting them all on one page. https://t.co/KFDSerKdhD https://twitter.com/obianuju/status/1120131820702568448?s=17

  19. WaPo: Beto is the most exciting and formidable candidate democrats have offered since JFK

  20. I was only a matter of time before O’Rourke’s campaign staff began to realize that they hooked their wagons to a no win situation. O’Rourke’s dead end campaign imploded the moment he made his first campaign speech. You know it’s pretty bad when he holds a rally and ends up getting grilled and called on the carpet by his supporters to answer for his contradicting statements. His followers have come to realize that O’Rourke is completely devoid of substance and credibility. Every time he opens his stupid mouth he exposes himself as being a wholly dishonest, shallow hypocrite. Beto speaks into the same echo chamber that every other democratic candidate speaks into.

  21. It’s not too late for Dems to #SpendItAllOnBeto

  22. “proud to have been part of the team of deeply dedicated staff and volunteers who nearly pulled off a historic upset in the 2018 Texas Senate race”…..WHAT HISTORIC UPSET?! HE LOST!!! And that was despite the DNC working hard to cheat Texans out of a fair election. This modern-day ballot box stuffing must change FAST.

How pathetic is it when demonrats claim they almost did something…just more “everyone gets a trophy” mentality. It helps almost do something when you have hundreds of millions of dollars chucked at you from outside of your home state so you can claim to be “the new obama-like” freak of the day – demonrats will just vote for anyone with a “D” after their name, EVEN if they are a loser!!! Nuts.

    1. @charli  You nailed it. You also saved me the time of posting this. Mental midget, O’Rourke outspent Cruz 10-1 and still lost.

O’Rourke’s campaign was also a glaring example of the tremendous amount of nation wide election rigging that was going on leading up to the mid term elections. There is no way that the democrats should have taken the House because there was a palpable red tsunami taking over the country.

I want a sweeping federal investigation into the political machinations of every democrat that ran for office during the 2018 mid term elections.

    2. Hmm. By their standards then I almost became an astronaut. Never mind that I didn’t get an education, fill out the required paperwork or do any of the things one might do to become one. But darn it, I almost did.

  29. It’s amazing that Pete Buttigieg may be the one responsible if Beto’s campaign crashes early.

    1. I imagine Biden’s bid will upstage Buttgig’s campaign too, since Buttgig is patently no different than any other demonrat candidate…they all say the same things, just pick the outer shell of human you think would look best! LOL. they are all just plain ugly to me.

      1. @charli Biden’s campaign is dead in the water. He’s a blithering buffoon to even consider running because he’ll get shredded by the other democrat candidates. He represents everything the far left democrats despise. He’s white, male, old, and Christian. They know that Biden will never be able to defend the fact that he’s a serial molester. There is just too much verifiable evidence for Biden to overcome his being known as a compulsive groper.

  30. Aww…you mean we might not see Beta O’Dork flapping like an albatross taking off in the Dem debates? 🙂

  31. In this day and age, do t be so sure they can’t win…It was way too close for comfort especially in Texas with the mid terms. The difference of Robert and Cruz were about as clear as you could get but yet, a lot of people voted for this! Go figure…this next one doesn’t allow complacency At All…

    1. Texas isn’t as red as NY and CA are blue. Ted Cruz took every punch the Left could throw at him in Texas and still won despite being massively outspent. Leave it to the leftists on Team Blue to throw good money after bad.
