Well this is surprising. Pat Robertson says he is appalled at Trump for the “betrayal” of the Kurds for the sake of a dictator like Erdogan. The nuts at Right Wing Watch have the video:
Pat Robertson is "appalled" by Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria: "The President of the United States is in great danger of losing the mandate of Heaven if he permits this to happen." pic.twitter.com/YGeNYpbGrF— Right Wing Watch (@RightWingWatch) October 7, 2019
From the Daily Beast:
“I am absolutely appalled that the United States is going to betray those democratic forces in northern Syria,” he said during Monday’s broadcast of The 700 Club, first spotted by Right Wing Watch. “That we are possibly going to allow the Turkish to come in against the Kurds.”
Calling Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a “thug” and “dictator,” Robertson said it was “nonsense” to call the Turkish leader an ally of America, claiming Erdogan is just “in for himself.”
“The president, who allowed [Washington Post journalist Jamal] Khashoggi to be cut in pieces without any repercussions whatsoever, is now allowing the Christians and the Kurds to be massacred by the Turks,” he exclaimed. “The President of the United States is in danger of losing the mandate of heaven if he permits this to happen.”
I mean, I’m a little iffy on what he means by the mandate of heaven anyway, so while I think it’s an unwise decision to abandon Syria to the Turks, I’m not as certain we can discern what God’s will is when it comes to foreign policy. But Robertson does!! Now, el Presidente Trump is pretty self-assured that he knows what he is doing, so I doubt he cares what Robertson hits him with.
So them Kurds are screwed. And Dictator Erdogan will continue to perpetuate his Muslim totalitarian plan, [from our earlier post, from el Scoopy]:
With the US out of the way, Erdogan can now take over the entirety of Northern Syria and then begin working his way further south. They’ve been talking about conquering Idlib as well, if they haven’t done it already, and who knows where they will stop. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if at some point Erdogan began moving troops toward Damascus, which is much closer to Israel.
