Apparently Beto O’Rourke just raised a gazillion dollars or something….and he’s gonna need every penny!

It’s being reported with much hype and fanfare that Ted Cruz’s challenger, Beto O’Rourke just pulled in almost 7 million dollars in three months of fundraising this year:

TEXAS TRIBUNE – U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-El Paso, raised over $6.7 million for his U.S. Senate bid in the first quarter of 2018, according to his campaign, a staggering number that poses a new category of threat to Republican incumbent Ted Cruz.

The haul is easily O’Rourke’s biggest fundraising quarter yet, more than double his next-closest total for a three-month period. It also is more than any Democratic Senate candidate nationwide took in last quarter, O’Rourke’s campaign said.

Cruz has not released his first-quarter fundraising numbers yet, but O’Rourke’s $6.7 million total is on a different level than his previous hauls, which ranged from $1.7 million to $2.4 million. Those alone were good enough to outraise Cruz for three of the last four reporting periods.

Furthermore, the $6.7 million total came from more than 141,000 contributions — another record-busting number for O’Rourke.

We all know that Ted Cruz isn’t taking his competitor lightly and is going to fight hard to win this election.

But for all these people hyping up all this dinero that O’Rourke just raised, let me remind them of something:

How about that for a reality check!

And as I pointed out a month ago, if you give Cruz all of the Republican votes from the primary, his 300,000 vote margin increases to well over 500,000.

As I say in my title, Beto is gonna need every single penny of that money – and a lot more – and he’s still probably gonna lose by a significant margin. So they can hype him all they want, but unless a bunch of dead people and illegals are voting, I don’t think he has a chance.
