President Run Away just made clear that sending troops to Ukraine to protect them from a Russian invasion is NOT on the table, giving Putin the green light to invade:
THE HILL – President Biden on Wednesday said the United States is not considering sending troops to Ukraine amid rising fears about the possibility of a Russian military invasion.
“That is not on the table,” Biden told reporters at the White House before departing for a trip to Kansas City, Mo.
“We have a moral obligation and a legal obligation to our NATO allies if they were to attack under Article 5, it’s a sacred obligation. That obligation does not extend to … Ukraine,” he added.
Biden said it would “depend upon what the rest of the NATO countries were willing to do as well” but rejected the idea that the U.S. would “unilaterally use force to confront Russia” if it were to invade.
The president’s comments came a day after his tense two-hour virtual meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which White House officials said the American president warned his Russian counterpart of harsh economic sanctions should Russia invade Ukraine.
Biden on Wednesday described the meeting as “straightforward” and said there were no “minced words” with Putin.
“I made it very clear, if in fact he invades Ukraine there will be severe consequences,” Biden said, adding that the Russian president would incur economic penalties “like none he has ever seen.”
Asked if Putin got the message, Biden replied, “I am absolutely confident that he got the message.”
Biden claims there’ll be ‘severe consequences’, but Putin doesn’t care about that. He knows Biden is already in his pocket. All Putin has to do is threaten Biden and he’ll back down and let Putin do whatever he wants. We’ve already seen it happen earlier this year when Biden sent two warships to Ukraine after Putin began his troop buildup. Putin told Biden to stay away and he turned tale and ran.
Then of course the world watched as Biden ran away from a terrorist group in Afghanistan, even leaving Americans behind in the process.
Do you really think Putin is worried about threats from Biden??? Heck no!
And then on top of all this, Biden just took sending troops to Ukraine off the table. Sure, you might say he left a caveat for other NATO countries to do so. Yeah, right. What are the chances our allies are going to put their troops on the line when Biden has already said he doesn’t want to. And even Biden were willing, they all watched Biden’s Afghanistan disaster. Nobody trusts him and I can’t blame them.
