In the beginning of the so-called bombshell Atlantic story that came out yesterday, it stated the following:
When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.
Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.
But John Bolton, who is no friend of the president and who was there, repudiates this via a passage in his recent anti-Trump book:
If this ‘bombshell’ article gets it wrong in the first couple paragraphs, what does that say about the rest of the article? It’s nothing more than anti-Trump garbage.
Realizing how this story is falling flat on its face now that so many have come out to repudiate it, there’s a push by left for this ‘anonymous source’ to come out of the shadows and reveal themselves. But listen to the excuse that Jeffrey Goldberg, the author of the article, gives for his primary source not wanting to come out:
Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg explains why he used unnamed sources in report about Trump insulting dead soldiers:
"They don’t want to be inundated with angry tweets and all the rest…"https://t.co/s2ESFCOMi0 — from @MikeBrestDC at @dcexaminer pic.twitter.com/IAANsJuIgH

They are afraid of MEAN TWEETS! LOL! Seriously, if this account were true and the ‘anonymous source’ wasn’t lying their ass off, don’t you think they’d be willing to take one for the team if it meant ousting Donald Trump in November?
No, what’s really going on here is that this anonymous source doesn’t want to be exposed as a fraud and thus have their reputation ruined forever over a lie they agreed to tell in order to try and hurt Trump. And that tells us everything we need to know about this fraudulent article.
