This is a great. I was absolutely incensed when I saw the media headlines meant to smear Drew Brees just so that they could have a shot at “Focus on the Family.” And it looks like people agree with me.
We hear @Saints fans are planning to bring their Bibles to the game Monday night in support of @drewbrees. #WhoDatNation @HoustonTexans

#WhoDatNation @Saints fans...this is an awesome idea. Who's bringing their Bible with them to the @MBSuperdome??! Count me in. @drewbrees https://t.co/HTan2uiIzT

Now, in fairness, I couldn’t find a lot of evidence that this is happening aside from Ingraham saying it, so who knows if she’s seeing a movement sprout up or if she’s trying to generate one. Either way, I hope it happens.
The story was completely engineered in order to make mainstream Christian ideology appear as fringe and bigoted. Drew Brees was going to be just a stepping stone on the left-wing march to label all Christians as bigots. Luckily, he has garnered so much respect for years of being a stand-up guy that people are coming out of the woodwork to defend him against the idiotic mainstream media smear.
Now I don’t know if the NFL stadium experience is conducive to Bible-carrying. I would definitely not want to get beer on my Bible at a Buffalo Bills game. BUT if that’s what it takes to defend Christianity, I’ll dunk my entire Bible in beer. Wait that doesn’t make sense…
