AOC wasn’t too happy with people mocking her for getting her facts wrong on MSNBC regarding FDR and the 22nd amendment.
We posted it here if you missed it.
Liz Cheney took note of the mistake as well and got in a good jab:
We knew the Democrats let dead people vote. According to @AOC, they can run for President, too. https://t.co/69VBYIDtGT

We knew the Democrats let dead people vote. According to @AOC, they can run for President, too.
But AOC didn’t like Cheney’s tweet and sent her an article of Newsweek defending her:
Hey Rep. Cheney,
I see from your dead people comment that you get your news from Facebook memes, but the National Constitution Center + Newsweek are just two of many places where you can clarify your misunderstanding of the history of the 22nd Amendment: https://t.co/Je6mHFJ687 https://t.co/np1XtgLpm1

The article argues that AOC wasn’t really wrong because the campaign to keep FDR from continuing his presidency started before his death. But the problem is that he soon thereafter died, and the amendment was no longer to keep him from running for another office, as she suggested, but to keep future presidents from trying to do what FDR did.
In any event, Cheney responded to this spin with a video AOC definitely needs to watch:
Hey @AOC, I know you’re busy so I thought this short video would be helpful to introduce you to the basics of the Constitution. If you’re still trying to figure out how a bill becomes a law, they have a great video on that, too. https://t.co/aTBmCpIUqY https://t.co/MIrvtJevBI

Cheney nailed it with that one. If there’s one thing AOC needs a good schoolin’ on, it’s the Constitution.
