They’re doing this in order to keep pushing the narrative that Jeff Sessions is a huge racist, though there is much evidence to the contrary.

The accusations of racism against Sessions have been slapped down after conservatives pointed out that he helped desegregate schools in the South and also prosecuted a Ku Klux Klan member, but liberals can’t conceive of rationally debating an issue, so here we are.
