Tucker Carlson was spied on. The NSA claims it was accidental through third parties, but ADMITS that they “unmasked” him. This is scandalous, but the rest of the media is treating it as an NSA victory if you can believe that.
On Carlson’s show last night, Mark Steyn filled in and gave a terrific response, with the help of Harmeet K. Dhillon. And they discussed the Big Tech Tyrants while they were at it, which fits because it’s one big bundle of 1984.
“We told you that the National Security Agency has been monitoring this show and the content of Tucker’s emails. According to a media outlet, The Record, the NSA has just completed its internal review of the matter. The NSA now admits that it unmasked Tucker’s identity after an intelligence intercept,” says Steyn. “By law, the identities of American citizens are concealed when they’re caught up during foreign intelligence gathering. They can only be unmasked in extraordinary circumstances.”
Here’s what that hack site The Record posted about the NSA’s trash explanation:
…the nation’s top electronic spy agency found that Carlson was mentioned in communications between third parties and his name was subsequently revealed through “unmasking,” a process in which relevant government officials can request the identities of American citizens in intelligence reports to be divulged provided there is an official reason, such as helping them make sense of the intelligence documents they are reviewing.
Steyn gave the Fox News Channel statement in response to that news.
For the NSA to unmask Tucker Carlson or any journalist attempting to secure a newsworthy interview is entirely unacceptable and raises serious questions about their activities as well as their original denial, which was wildly misleading.
Then he and Harmeet Dhillon broke it down, starting right off the bat by saying that this SECOND “explanation” from NSA is as fake as the first, which is now proven false.
This ain’t supposed to happen in America. And the fact that libs are sanguine about it, satisfied even, exposes the biggest threat to American freedom and security we’ve ever faced: the alliance between the far left, the fake news media, and socialist, critical race commies strategically position across government.
Y’all, stuff ain’t going great. But I am holding onto Mark Levin’s words that it’s not hopeless.
