‘They’re after your children’: New York schools “showering” tax money on drag shows

I think 200 grand is a lot of money to give to someone just to bring them to a school and corrupt children but hey, maybe I just don’t understand inflation right? Because that’s what the taxpayers of NYC shelled out for that “service.” And that’s just to ONE group providing drag queens to schools. And in just ONE city. Over just the time span the paper looked into.

The New York Post explains in a new article about Drag Story Hour NYC, which earned $46,000 from the city LAST MONTH ALONE.

Why? You know why.

Yeah. That is the reason. It’s literally the reason, it’s the reason the drag queen advocates give. It’s not US saying that, it’s them. “Pride Month drag queen events and gender discussions are necessary for the healthy development of small children, LGBT advocates said this week,” the Washington Times explained.

Developmental psychologist Marti Erickson said during a Thursday afternoon webinar on “Young Kids and Gender Identity” that it’s essential for parents to discuss gender with their children at “ages 0-8” since they start noticing sexual differences at age 2.

“They might notice, ‘well, daddy has a penis’ and ‘oh, so do I’ or ‘I don’t, I look more like mommy when I’m taking my bath’ or something,” said Ms. Erickson, who hosts the “Mom Enough” podcast with her daughter Erin.

But back to the New York City taxpayer funded drag extravaganza for young children, brought to you by Drag Story Hour NYC.

Since January, the group has organized 49 drag programs in 34 public elementary, middle, and high schools, it boasted on its website, with appearances in all five boroughs.

“I can’t believe this. I am shocked,” said public school mom and state Assembly candidate Helen Qiu, whose 11-year-old son attends a Manhattan middle school. “I would be furious if he was exposed without my consent. This is not part of the curriculum.”

Since 2018, the group — previously known as Drag Queen Story Hour NYC, before changing its name early this year — has received a total of $207,000 in taxpayer cash.

The tally includes $50,000 from New York State through its Council on the Arts, along with $157,000 from the city’s Departments of Education, Cultural Affairs, Youth and Community Development, and even the Department of Transportation, city data shows.

Oh but wait there’s more. The Very Christian David French says drag queen story hour is perfectly innocent. He’s a big fan and thinks you’re a bigot if you aren’t. You know, David French formerly of National Review and currently of The Dispatch, who lectures Christians every week on how voting for Trump violates God’s laws? Not Drag Story Hour though you bigots.

But I wonder if Davey will give his full-throated endorsement to this, too? (My guess is yes, he really is a yuge fan.)

Cross-dressed performers typically read aloud from a list of books that teach acceptance and inclusion, including children’s classics like “Where the Wild Things Are” and “The Rainbow Fish” — and some that overtly celebrate gender fluidity, like “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish.”

But the expansion into city schools has brought new features to the program, its social media posts reveal.

In April, the elaborately coiffed Harmonica Sunbeam wore a slinky gown to meet with kindergarteners at STAR Academy in Manhattan and color pages from “The Dragtivity Book,” which encourages kids to choose their pronouns and invent drag names.

Bella Noche wore a scanty mermaid-like bra getup to travel with 2nd graders from Manhattan’s PS 34 on a May field trip, and Flame taught middle schoolers “of all genders” how to apply drag eye makeup at MS 88 in Park Slope.

Some of the school-related posts disappeared from the Internet Friday, less than an hour after The Post called Drag Story Hour NYC for comment.

In one deleted photo, a performer known as Professor Lionel Longlegs wore a t-shirt emblazoned with the message “I Don’t Want to Look or Be Cis” before an audience of primary-grade kids in the library of PS 191 on the Upper West Side.

Or how about that Texas abomination?

And the fact is, this is done at schools only and for the express purpose of circumventing parental decision-making. That’s the purpose. That’s the reason. The left controls all the power in elite society, and they use it to indoctrinate kids so kids won’t grow up with their parents’ values. That’s why.

“I didn’t get any notice,” complained Reese Harrington, a parent at PS 191. “My daughter actually came home and told me that a drag queen came to the school … I feel like it would have been better for that conversation to happen at home.”

The left is busy excusing and inviting assassination of Supreme Court Justices because they think the “privacy” of women aborting babies is a real issue, a sacred one. Privacy is a bootstrap, an excuse, a made-up reason to legalize abortion. But they accept as scripture that privacy is the core issue in the abortion argument.

The privacy of belief? The privacy of parental values and raising kids? They would LAUGH at that idea. In fact, they do and are. Right now.

THAT’S IOWA!

They are coming for your kids. And if they can’t get to them in public schools they have a million other ways. I’m praying for you, and for them.
