Trump just tweeted that Senator Jim Inhofe has assured him that his committee will not be changing the names of military bases:
I spoke to highly respected (Chairman) Senator @JimInhofe, who has informed me that he WILL NOT be changing the names of our great Military Bases and Forts, places from which we won two World Wars (and more!). Like me, Jim is not a believer in “Cancel Culture”.

Yesterday the NDAA passed the Senate with a veto-proof majority after Trump had promised to veto the bill if it included name changes of our military basis.
But with this tweet above I believe Trump is signaling that he won’t veto the bill at this point, probably figuring it’s pointless now since the Senate has the votes to override his veto.
What do you think? Should Trump veto the NDAA and call the bluff of Republican Senators? Or should he just sign the bill with this promise from Inhofe?
