[VIDEO] – NYC Catholic priest has congregants denounce white privilege during MASS

On a Sunday at the beginning of August at Saint Xavier Catholic Church in New York City, a Catholic priest actually led his congregants to denounce white privilege before the Mass had ended. I’ve got it cued up to 53:19 where it begins:

I actually found this “Pledge for Racial Justice” on this same church’s website and here’s what it says for those of you who’d rather read it (don’t blame you one bit):

There are a couple of elements that bother me about this with the primary one being that this happened during the Holy Mass! Sure, it was near the end of the service after the priest had finished Holy Communion, but those in the congregation had not yet received Holy Communion before they had to listen to this priest say this ridiculous pledge. The Holy Mass is not the place for this!

As I said, this pledge is ridiculous. As much as liberal America wants us to believe that white privilege is the cause of all our woes, it’s simply untrue. As AG Barr said today, it’s actually rare that white cops shoot unarmed black people in America. It’s true. Earlier this year Tucker Carlson went down a list of 2019 incidents from a Washington Post database where white police officers shot unarmed black men and women. He only found ten and almost all of them were justified:

In 2019 there were a total of 1,004 instances of people being killed by police. 802 of those incidents noted the race of the police officer and the suspect. 371 were white. 236 were black. The vast majority of all these suspects killed were armed.

Only 10 incidents occurred where black suspects were unarmed when they were killed, nine men and one woman. Tucker breaks each of these cases down, one by one, showing that almost all of them were justified. There were only two cases in which an officer was criminally charged.

Most of these incidents were where the cop was attacked by the person, either physically or with a vehicle if I remember correctly. But the point is that only two were even questionable. Tucker went on to point out that 2019 was the safest year for black suspects in a long time:

Tucker also points out that 2019 was the safest year for black suspects in police custody since the Post began keeping their database, falling precipitously since 2015. But even more striking is the number of police officers killed last year, which totaled more than all unarmed suspects killed by police. It was 48.

But hey, forget about the facts. Just recite this white privilege pledge and make yourself feel better!
